Gaurvi Singhvi

Gaurvi Singhvi is an open-water, long distance swimmer with a record of being the youngest at 16 in the world to swim the English Channel in the year 2019. Swimming since the age of two, she has won 43 gold, 19 silver and 5 bronze medals in various State and National level championships. She also holds a record of covering a 47 km stretch in the Indian Ocean from Juhu Khar Danda to the Gateway of India in a duration of 9 hours and 22 minutes, at 15 years of age.
Gaurvi was the fastest girl at 14 to have covered an open sea distance of 37 and 17 km in the Indian Ocean in 6 hours, 35 minutes and 3 hours, 58 minutes respectively. Her achievements have been noted and certified by the Maharashtra State Amateur Aquatic Association. She holds State records for 1500 and 800 m long-distance swimming.
At present, Gaurvi is the district Youth Icon under SVEEP program appointed by the Election Commission of India with the responsibility of creating awareness among people, in her hometown Udaipur, to exercise their power to elect their leaders.
Gaurvi is also the youth ambassador for the government's Beti Bachao Beti Padhao programme at the district level to motivate and promote education and development of girl child.
